How do I set up an appointment with you?

Please email or text me with your email so I can send you a link to fill out the paperwork.

How soon can I be seen you ask? Your needs are important to me so I keep my schedule flexible (thank you to my MIL!) I try to see you as soon as I possibly can, and if I am too busy to see you in person the week of, a tele heath visit same-day is usually possible for urgent needs.

What does it mean you are specially trained in Tongue Tie and Infant Food Reactivity?

Tongue Tie

I have worked closely with renowned Tongue Tie Providers to ensure the most up to date information to guide you on your baby’s tongue tie journey. Tongue tie can be detrimental to your breastfeeding journey and your babies health. Tongue tie has negative long term health effects, and causes many problems while breastfeeding, taking a bottle, body alignment and many other things.

Tongue tie must be done by a specialized release provider and an IBCLC specially trained in tongue tie to optimize results and function. Oral rehab prior to a tongue tie release and after the release is required to have success.

Being an in-person lactation provider in the Baker City and La Grande area- I specialize in assessing, treating, and collaborating with the most trained professionals to resolve this issue. Being a virtual lactation provider I can assist you in finding the best resources for tongue tie in your area and work closely to find the help you need.

Food Reactivity

At least 25% of parents report symptoms of food reactivity when they go to the doctor with their baby? Is your baby experiencing colic, reflux, fussiness, arching when feeding, acne, eczema, rash, trouble sleeping, vommiting, mucous or blood in stool? This might be food reactivity.

Unfornutly there is a lot of bad information given from well meaning doctors, nurses, and people on instagram. I have the niche training and expertise to dive deep into maternal nutrition, infant reactivity and getting baby to baseline (because, no a colic baby is not normal”) all while being able to maintain your own nutrition and not go crazy on an elimination food diet.

Do you have an office space in Baker City?

Yes! My office is located in the beautiful Integrative Health and Wellness Center in downtown Baker City at 1928 Court Ave.

I also offer home visits, hospital visits and virtual visits.

Extended travel outside of 97814 will have an additional travel fee, please inquire.

Are lactation consultants covered by insurance?

I partner with Lactation Consultants of America to provide the best access to lactation coverage. I am in network with many insurance providers, please reach out to hello@lcsofamerica.com for specific benefit related questions.

Financial aid is available to ensure quality access for EVERYONE.

What happens if I’m not "in network" through my insurance or I have a Health Share Program?

I will provide you with a “superbill” for you to submit to your insurance/Health Share Program company for reimbursement. Reimbursement is usually provided from these companies but is not guaranteed. Payment will be due at the time of service or a payment plan set up if needed.

How many visits do I need?

That all depends on your situation! If we are dealing with low milk supply, slow weight gain maternal nutrition, food reactivity, or tongue tie it will vary greatly based on our interventions.

What if I need to reschedule or I don’t come to my appointment?

RESCHEDULING AND CANCELLATIONS

I often schedule clients back to back, so being on time is so appreciated. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule. 

If you are a no-show, you will be charged $75 per binding agreement of the consent form.  Please give at least an 8-hour notice to change or cancel appointments.
